Multimedia Blog Post #9

Being in quarantine during COVID-19, there weren’t many story ideas I could think of rather than my own. My video content goes through what my day looks like while being stuck in the house, but also trying to get out of the country.

I adopted an entertainment value type video. I found that vlogging allowed for a good story telling that was in my control.

The brainstorming was easy for me. My life experience laid the plot out for me. There were parts to this video experience I enjoyed and some parts I didn’t. The actual filming process was quite inconvenient to my day.

It felt like filming things throughout my day made it take twice as long as it would if I wasn’t filming. However, I have edited several videos in the past and that process is always quite relaxing and rewarding for me.

The easiness of the process surprised me. I thought the voice over would be difficult to add to the video. However, with the blessing of Air Drop I was able to get files from my phone to my computer easily.

I see myself using video in a different way than I did for this assignment. I had an entertainment value approach where I filmed my daily life during COVID-19. I believe for future work I would take a more journalistic approach in order to provide facts of a story I could get to outside of quarantine.
